GRIDIRON GLORY — SEASON 23 TRAILER

07.01.22 // Gridiron Glory is an Emmy award-winning television sports program covering high school football in southeast Ohio. The 30-minute live newscasts air Friday nights on WOUB and are produced entirely by Ohio University students.

In keeping with the precedent we set last year, on the 1st of July, we posted the season 23 teaser trailer to all of our digital platforms. The trailer served to kick off our daily pre-season coverage and was once again one of our highest-engaged posts on all platforms throughout the entire year. The trailer also introduced the season 23 host, a role that changes each year with the senior class.

GRASSROOTS HEALTH — REBRAND TRAILER

08.10.22 // As a non-profit based in Washington D.C., The Grassroot Project mobilized college athletes for HIV prevention efforts in underprivileged middle schools. But as the scope of their mission evolved to support a more holistic approach to health education, the need for a full rebrand quickly became clear. That’s why I was hired as a Brand Identity Director.

After thirteen years as "The Grassroots Project," the time had come for the big announcement. I produced this trailer to share with donors, schools, and other supporters to remind them of the journey Grassroots has taken — and to formally unveil the rebrand I designed.

740 ZONE — WEB NEWSCAST

FALL 2020 // In the face of a worsening pandemic, opportunities for media students quickly diminished. That’s why I helped found the 740 Zone, a multimedia high school football production established and managed entirely by students.

In order to provide our team with professional-grade broadcast experience, I served as our leading video editor across 14 episodes of the digital newscast.

SOUTHERN OHIO COPPERHEADS — WEB DOCUSERIES

SUMMER 2020 // The Southern Ohio Copperheads are a collegiate baseball team based in Athens, OH, operated entirely by Ohio University business and communication students. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the media team created Homer’s Journey — a YouTube docuseries about the Copperheads’ rich community history. I served as the show’s Associate Producer, responsible for establishing the video editing style and thereby executing the show’s creative vision as the editor of all five episodes.

SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS

REGIONAL FINAL — WATERFORD VS. TRIMBLE

03.05.22 // As division rivals in the Tri-Valley Conference, Trimble and Waterford were no strangers to one another by the time they met in the OHSAA Elite 8. The Lady Wildcats and Tomcats had split their two head-to-head matchups earlier in the year. Although the “three-match” was 50 miles north of either school, families and fans packed the bleachers in Pickerington for the most important chapter in the rivalry’s recent history. After winning the regional title, Waterford went on to be crowned the Division IV state champions.

STATE SEMIFINAL — IRONTON VS. VALLEY VIEW

11.26.22 // Located just off the Ohio River, the Ironton Fighting Tigers are a high school football powerhouse every year in Division V of the OHSAA. Seeking their third State Finals berth in four years, the Tigers faced a 14-point deficit to the Valley View Spartans, adversity brought upon by early turnovers. But quarterback Tayden Carpenter and head coach Trevon Pendleton demonstrated excellent resilience and leadership in rallying the team to a 35-21 victory.
