GRIDIRON GLORY SEASON 23

FALL 2022 // Gridiron Glory is an Emmy award-winning television sports show that airs weekly on WOUB covering high school football in southeast Ohio. Although I was the producer of Season 23, my passion for social media and graphic design was not lost. Over the summer, I revised our templates to introduce stronger contrast, a consistent color palette, an emphasis on team logos, and a risograph-inspired art style. Throughout the semester, I maintained mentorship for student designers and oversight for content managers.

HARDWOOD HEROES 2022

SPRING 2022 // Hardwood Heroes is a student-produced television program at Ohio University that airs via WOUB. The show covers both boys and girls high school basketball in the surrounding Tri-Valley Conference. Although I was the show’s producer, my storytelling vision reached well beyond the 30-minute rundown. I worked with another graphic designer to create templates for the conference title race, playoff brackets, and promotional materials that supplemented the narrative thread woven throughout episodes of the newscast.

GRIDIRON GLORY SEASON 22

FALL 2021 // Gridiron Glory is an Emmy award-winning television sports show that airs weekly on WOUB covering high school football in southeast Ohio. Season 22 marked our return from COVID-19 and was characterized by an ambitious coverage expansion. With more than double the teams and games included in our weekly coverage, I completely revamped our digital content plan as the social media director. In addition to my strategic and management work, I also created more than 50 new templates with an all-new art style to accommodate our new coverage plan.

740 ZONE

FALL 2020 // In the face of a worsening pandemic in 2020, opportunities for media students quickly diminished. To provide dozens of students with a professional-grade broadcast production, I helped found the 740 Zone, a high school football publication established and managed entirely by students. I built the voice and visual brand of our publication from the ground up, and my work as our graphic designer helped us make a name for ourselves as a premiere destination for southeast Ohio sports coverage.

SOUTHERN OHIO COPPERHEADS

SUMMER 2020 // The Copperheads are a collegiate baseball team operated entirely by Ohio University media and business students. For the summer of 2020, I held a remote internship with the media team working as a graphic designer and managing the team’s social media presence. Although the COVID-19 pandemic halted the traditional season, the Copperheads evolved as a source of family-friendly entertainment — particularly by broadcasting simulated games in MLB The Show.

HARDWOOD HEROES 2020

SPRING 2020 // Hardwood Heroes is a student-produced television program at Ohio University that airs via WOUB. The show covers both boys and girls high school basketball in the surrounding Tri-Valley Conference. In my freshman year, I doubled as both a graphic designer and reporter. While that meant our graphics variety was rather limited, my impact was still felt daily as I created our nightly final score templates, our video recap assets, and all of our “Heroes” promotional & stats graphics.

GRIDIRON GLORY SEASON 21

FALL 2019 // Gridiron Glory is an Emmy award-winning television sports show that airs weekly on WOUB covering high school football in southeast Ohio. Season 21 marked a new era for the show’s social media presence, with an increased emphasis on graphics and daily digital content. It was also the first season under the new visual identity for WOUB and its in-house productions. As the social media team’s graphic designer, I helped usher in this new era by creating dozens of templates that established an art style that implemented the new GG brand.
